Hi everyone. This is a blog about the design, trials and tribulations that come with designing an old-school console RPG for PC using the program RPG Maker VX. This blog will feature step-by-step posts that cover, in detail, how to get the game to do what you want it to do, as well as commentary on the problems I encounter using this program and the solutions I find. If you’re new to RPG Maker VX, it’s a great program for building console-style RPGs like Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger. I suggest you purchase the program instead of downloading a cracked version because I’d like Enterbrain (the program’s publishers) to support the English language version and continue to churn out program and content updates for us. From here, on to the blog, and I hope it’s useful.
